Forklift / POEP Operator – £13.34 to £16.68 per hour

Location: Chilled Warehouse Environment Shifts: Various shifts available Pay: £13.34 – £16.68 per hour (role & shift dependent)

What You'll Be Doing

• Supplying and removing product, customer equipment, and waste from the production line
• Operating a forklift/POEP safely and confidently
• Loading, unloading, and transporting produce across warehouse and production areas
• Inspecting pallets, trays, and produce for damage or quality issues
• Following FIFO stock rotation procedures
• Keeping your work area clean and safe at all times
• Completing pre-shift vehicle checks and reporting any mechanical issues
• Working in chilled environments and following all hygiene, PPE, and food-safety rules

Key Responsibilities

Efficiency & Accuracy

• Ensure correct stock, packaging, and labelling are used
• Maintain high accuracy to reduce waste and downtime

Productivity & Planning

• Follow production plans and report changes to your Team Leader
• Support Supervisors to keep the department running smoothly

Customer Requirements

• Pack produce to exact customer specifications
• Supply the line with the correct customer equipment

Administration

• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
• Highlight issues to your Team Leader or Supervisor

People & Conduct

• Report disciplinary or conflict issues appropriately
• Maintain excellent timekeeping and communication

Hygiene & Housekeeping

• Follow the “clean as you go” policy
• Keep all areas tidy and safe

Health & Safety

• Follow all H&S procedures at all times
• Report hazards, xwzovoh near misses, and machine faults immediately
• Keep fire exits clear and complete pre-start checks correctly

What We're Looking For

• Valid POEP/Forklift licence – essential
• Experience in fresh produce, food distribution, or chilled warehousing (preferred)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks with excellent attention to detail
• Motivated, energetic, and flexible approach to work
