Data Centre Construction
Location: Docklands, East London, UK

Our client is a leading international contractor delivering complex, large-scale construction projects across Europe and the UK. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and high-quality project delivery, the company operates across a wide range of sectors including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities.
Due to continued growth within the UK data centre sector, our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Docklands, East London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical coordination and delivery of all building services (MEP) from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. This role will act as the key technical interface between design, construction, commissioning, and client teams, ensuring all systems are fully coordinated, compliant, and delivered in line with project requirements.
Working closely with project management, design consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives, the Technical Services Manager will play a critical role in driving technical assurance, resolving complex coordination issues, and ensuring seamless integration of all building services systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical services coordination across all MEP systems on a large-scale data centre project in Docklands, East London
Manage technical submittals, RFIs, design reviews, and coordination between design consultants and site teams
Ensure full integration and coordination of mechanical, electrical, public health, and specialist systems
Oversee technical compliance with project specifications, employer requirements, and industry standards
Support construction and commissioning teams in resolving technical and buildability issues
Liaise closely with client representatives, consultants, and specialist vendors to ensure alignment on technical deliverables
Review and challenge design information to ensure constructability, efficiency, and compliance
Support commissioning xwzovoh planning, system integration, and handover documentation requirements
Monitor technical risk and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with project leadership
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, controlled, and aligned with project procedures
Drive coordination workshops and technical meetings across all disciplines
Promote a strong culture of technical excellence, quality assurance, and collaboration
