We are delighted to be recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and nurturing primary school in Garstang on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in a primary school setting. Teaching Assistant experience is preferred but not essential, as full support and guidance will be provided. ✨ About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. You'll help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. Key responsibilities include: Supporting children with their learning in the classroom Working with pupils one-to-one or in small groups Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour Assisting with lesson activities and classroom preparation Providing care, reassurance, and encouragement throughout the school day ✅ About You We are looking for someone who is: Kind, patient and enthusiastic Passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing Comfortable working as part of a team Reliable and eager to learnExperience as a Teaching Assistant or in a childcare/education setting is desirable but not essential.
