Project Architect

Conrad Consulting are delighted to be partnering with an award-winning, design-driven Architectural Practice in Leeds (LS6), who are seeking an ambitious Project Architect to join their growing team. This innovative, medium-sized practice has enjoyed over 25 years of sustained success and continues to secure a wide variety of exciting, design-led commissions across its established core sectors. They are now looking to strengthen their Residential team with a talented Project Architect who can take ownership of projects and play a key role in the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of living-sector schemes. Current and upcoming projects include new-build housing, student accommodation, retirement living, bespoke one-off homes and complex conversions. With strong roots across Yorkshire and a national footprint, the practice has built an impressive reputation for high-quality architecture, earning numerous awards across the Residential, Education and Leisure sectors. Their broad and loyal client base across both public and private sectors provides a consistently reliable workflow, ensuring long-term stability and resilience in an ever-changing market. The Role & Responsibilities The successful Project Architect will take a lead role in the coordination and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages, working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams. This position would suit someone looking to further develop their leadership and project-running capabilities, with a clear pathway toward a Senior Architect role. Key responsibilities include: Leading projects from concept through to completion across all RIBA stages Managing project teams and coordinating consultants throughout the design and delivery process Producing high-quality design, technical and presentation work using Revit, CAD and hand sketching where appropriate Preparing technical packages, specifications, schedules and production information Overseeing project programmes, resourcing and contract administration in line with the RIBA Plan of Work and internal QA procedures Chairing meetings, presenting proposals and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required About You ARB-registered / RIBA Chartered Architect Approximately 5 years’ post-qualification experience Proven experience running projects and coordinating teams through multiple RIBA stages Strong technical and detailing ability with excellent Revit and CAD proficiency Confident client-facing skills with the ability to lead meetings and manage relationships effectively Organised, proactive and commercially aware, with a strong understanding of project delivery Ambitious and motivated to progress into a Senior Architect position within a supportive environment What’s on Offer Salary circa £40,000–£45,000, dependent on experience Annual profit-related bonus scheme Clear and structured progression pathway toward Senior Architect level Appraisals every six months with ongoing career support Flexible working hours and optional hybrid working Free on-site parking Regular CPD opportunities and professional development support If you’re looking to join a forward-thinking practice with an excellent reputation and genuine long-term progression opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
