Sewing Machinist
Pay Rate: £13.90 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)
Contract: Ongoing temporary role with a strong potential for permanent employment

Are you an experienced Sewing Machinist or machine operator looking for steady work, long‑term prospects and a supportive team environment? We are recruiting Sewing Machinists to join an established and well‑respected textile manufacturer, producing high‑quality technical textile products.
This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role for people who take pride in precision, enjoy practical work and thrive in a fast‑paced production setting. You'll be working with industrial sewing machinery, contributing directly to the quality and consistency of specialist textile products.
Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity to strengthen your skills and build a long‑term career within the technical textiles sector.
Operating Industrial Sewing Machinery
You'll set up, operate and monitor industrial sewing machines, ensuring smooth and efficient running throughout your shift. Over time, you'll develop strong machine knowledge and confidence in your role.
Delivering Quality and Consistency
You'll work to agreed production targets while maintaining strict quality standards, ensuring every product meets specification. Carrying Out Quality Checks and Reporting
You'll complete quality inspections, maintain accurate records and report any faults or concerns promptly to supervisors to minimise disruption.
Although you'll operate your own machine, you'll be part of a wider production team working towards shared goals. Previous sewing or machine operating experience is essential
Manufacturing or technical textile experience is highly desirable
Good physical fitness for a busy, hands‑on production role
Strong attention to detail and pride in high‑quality work
Flexibility to work rotating shifts and reliable transport for both patterns
Full Training and Ongoing Support
You'll receive structured training and ongoing guidance to help you succeed on industrial machinery.
Monday to Friday working with a clear, predictable shift pattern.
