What the Finance Manager role will involve:
Full ownership of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and weekly cashflow reporting
Cost accounting across materials, labour and overheads - maintaining costing models, analysing margins and identifying savings across manufacturing operations
Overseeing inventory accounting, stock valuation, reconciliation and internal controls
Acting as a true business partner to production, procurement and operations — supporting pricing decisions, CapEx appraisals and commercial strategy
Driving process improvement and reporting automation as the finance function grows
The suitable Finance Manager candidate:
Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with solid experience in a manufacturing or product-led environment highly desirable
Strong technical grounding in cost accounting, stock management and management reporting would be ideal.
Commercially minded and hands-on - someone who wants to understand how the business works, not just report on it
Confident working directly with founders and senior stakeholders in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting
Collaborative, personable and comfortable in a non-corporate culture where pragmatism and common sense are valued.
Good sense of humour is a must
