Position: Mechanical Fitter

Location : Bristol
Salary: £29250 to £35100 per annum
Type of position: permanent
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

We are now seeking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter far a busy manufacturing company based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate will be working on various mechanical fitting projects including precision fitting, fabrication and assembly of metal components
Responsibilities:
Fit and Fabricate metal components and structures according to specifications and drawings.
Read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and production.
Operate various metal working equipment, including cutting machines, vertical drilling, bending machines and grinders.
Assemble and install mechanical components and structures.
Perform quality control checks to ensure components parts and assembles meet specifications and standards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
Good engineering drawing reading skills.
Fabrication skills, material cutting, bending, marking out etc.
Fitting skills.
Measurements using engineering measurement instruments such as Engineers Square, Vernier Calliper, Micrometre, gauges, DTI, Angle Finder etc…
Requirements:
City & Guilds or NVQ in Fitting and Fabrication to level 2 or equivalent
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
Proven track record of producing high-quality mechanical components.
Strong knowledge of precision fitting and fabricating techniques, including the use of measuring equipment.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
Preferable but non-essential to have vehicle body building experience. xwzovoh
Experience in welding techniques also advantageous
