Position: Welder/ Fabricator

Salary: £29250 to £35100 per annum
Type of position: permanent
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

We are now seeking to recruit a Welder/ Fabricator for a busy manufacturing company based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate will be welding and fabricating steel or aluminium parts to bespoke build and assemblies i.e. cut, shape, and fabricate steel, stainless steel, and aluminium to precise measurements as well as operate fabrication machinery such as guillotines, steel working machines, bandsaws.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate and weld metal components and structures according to specifications and drawings.
Read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
Operate various fabrication and welding equipment, including welding machines, cutting torches, vertical drilling, bending machines and grinders.
Perform quality control checks to ensure fabricated components meet specifications and standards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
MIG & TIG welding.
Materials used include aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.
Good engineering drawing reading skills.
Cutting, Oxy-acetylene, plasma.
Fabrication skills, material cutting, bending, marking out etc.
Requirements:
City & Guilds or NVQ in welding and Fabrication to level 2 or equivalent
Proven track record of producing high-quality fabricated and welded components.
Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical stamina to work in a workshop environment. xwzovoh
