Clerk Of Works

Warden Tyne Solutions are currently recruiting multiple Civils Inspectors / Clerk of Works for a civil engineering project. Roles & Responsibilities * Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete, structural steel and associated civil/structural works. * Carry out pre-pour, installation and quality inspections and verify works against approved drawings and specifications. * Check dimensions, levels, line, tolerances, reinforcement, cover, fixings and finishes. * Identify and report defective or non-compliant work and monitor corrective actions through to close-out. * Monitor concrete works, including delivery, slump, temperature, cube testing and curing. * Ensure materials and workmanship meet the required standards and project specifications. * Liaise with site management, engineers, consultants and the client to resolve quality issues. * Maintain clear records of inspections, defects, photographs and completed works. * Carry out regular site walks to identify issues early and promote a right-first-time approach. * Support snagging and completion inspections The Person * Relevant qualification or significant experience in Civil/Structural Construction. * Proven experience as a Clerk of Works, Civil/Structural Inspector or similar role. * Strong knowledge of RC construction, reinforcement, formwork and structural works. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Strong eye for detail with a focus on quality, workmanship and compliance. * Good communication skills and the ability to confidently challenge poor or non-compliant work. * Experience working with contractors, consultants and client teams. Terms * Competitive hourly rate * Uplifts for nights (1.4x), Sat (1.5x) and weekend nights (2x) * Accommodation provided for those living over 1 hour from the project * PSC/Ltd or CIS available (subject to assessment) * 7-day payment terms
