Founding Business Development Manager
Greenmile Networks | London (Southwark) | Full-Time, Permanent
£Logistics and Courier B2B Services. This is Greenmile’s first dedicated sales hire, so there is no existing pipeline to pick up. You'd be starting from scratch, building a client base, and shaping how the company sells going forward.
Greenmile Networks is a London logistics company operating from our Southwark hub. We provide same-day courier services using a zero-emission e-cargo fleet, national parcel and freight distribution through 40+ carrier partners, and international shipping. We're part of the Diamond Logistics network, so you'd be selling with proper infrastructure behind you, not just a name and a website.
Our clients include e-commerce brands, professional services firms, healthcare providers, creative agencies, and green tech companies. You'll be responsible for finding and winning new business across London and the South East. The full sales cycle sits with you: identifying prospects, getting meetings, understanding requirements, putting proposals together, and closing deals.
Prospecting through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking events, and face-to-face meetings
Running discovery meetings to understand what prospects need and how we can help
Building and presenting commercial proposals
Attending industry events and building a network that generates opportunities over time
Working with the founder to develop the sales process as we learn what works
While based at our Southwark hub, you will spend significant time out of the office for client demonstrations, networking events, and face-to-face negotiations across London.
At least 3+ years in a B2B sales role where you were responsible for generating your own pipeline. Logistics, courier, freight, or distribution experience is ideal but not essential if you've sold well elsewhere
Revenue figures, deal sizes, conversion rates, anything concrete
Phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.
Able to hold a proper commercial conversation with an operations director or a finance lead
Compensation
~£35,000 - £40,000 base depending on experience
~ Uncapped commission paid monthly on the revenue you generate
~ You'd be the first dedicated salesperson in the business. If the role goes well, you'd be the natural person to lead the sales function as we expand.
