About the Role

A national services organisation is seeking to appoint a Group M&E Surveyor to oversee the condition, performance, and development of its portfolio’s M&E installations. This is a pivotal estates role, responsible for capital works, refurbishments, and compliance, while also supporting operational teams to maintain safe, efficient, and commercially effective environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update M&E condition surveys, building capital investment plans to ensure long-term compliance and asset performance.
• Oversee compliance with statutory requirements, including fire safety, water risk, building regulations, planning, and landlord obligations.
• Deliver a broad range of M&E projects, from small works to major refurbishments, ensuring cost, time, and regulatory standards are met.
• Collaborate with building surveyors, property teams, and operations to provide M&E input into wider estates projects.
• Supervise minor works and property managers, ensuring consistent standards and value for money.
• Provide strategic insight into investment priorities, supporting efficiency improvements and operational savings.

About You

• Qualified M&E surveyor, ideally with a background in project delivery.
• Experience working in complex, multi-site environments (regulated sectors such as healthcare, education, or housing preferred).
• Strong knowledge of compliance and statutory requirements, alongside financial planning and cost control skills.
• Proven ability to deliver projects from origination through to completion, including contractor and professional team management.
• Flexible and pragmatic, with the ability to travel extensively across the UK; Midlands base desirable.
• Ambitious professional seeking progression toward senior estates leadership roles.
