We are seeking an College Assessor Trainer to join our team. In this role you will train and assess Welding & Fabrication subjects for full-time students to support progression to employment. You will also ensure that workshops are maintained in a safe operational condition, that all teaching and learning related materials are prepared in a timely manner.
Job title: College Assessor Trainer - Professional Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing
Part time, 22.5 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, £ 31284.24 - £35228.44 FTE
About the role: Evaluate and improve the quality of learning and teaching within your delivery utilising and engaging with the college's development and observation programmes.
Maintain workshop, equipment and tools to the highest standards ensuring statutory requirements are met.
Competently and professionally liaise with customers and employers.
Maintain an effective and timely stock control system of materials and consumables including the ordering of tools and equipment.
Contribute to the work of programme teams, committees and boards as appropriate.
Carry out and oversee practical community or college projects ensuring high standards of work are maintained at all times.
Essential Experience: Significant industrial experience in a welding & fabrication environment.
Essential Qualifications: Teaching Qualification(Award in Education L3) or willingness to complete within 3 years
Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
Teaching Qualification(Award in Education L3) or willingness to complete within 3 years
