Project Accountant

GALENT are recruiting for a Project Accountant opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong project accounting, management accounting or commercial finance experience. They will accept UK wide applications and offer weekday accomodation. Our client is a rapidly growing renewable energy platform that develops, builds, owns and operates biomethane infrastructure projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking a commercially focused Project Accountant to support a portfolio of major capital projects. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from development and construction through to long-term operation, within one of the UK’s most attractive renewable energy sectors. Key responsibilities include: * Preparing weekly and monthly project financial reports * Supporting project accounting, cost control and capital expenditure reporting * Producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts * Monitoring project costs and analysing financial performance * Supporting asset accounting and inventory controls * Preparing cashflow reporting and management information * Partnering with project managers, engineers and operational teams * Supporting year-end reporting, audits and statutory compliance activities * Producing dashboards and financial reporting for key stakeholders The ideal Project Accountant will possess the following attributes and experience: * Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent experience * Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy or renewable sectors • Strong project accounting and management accounting experience * Experience supporting long-term capital projects * Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability * Experience working with ERP systems * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Commercially minded with strong attention to detail This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Accountant to join a rapidly expanding renewable energy business offering exposure to major infrastructure developments, strong career progression and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, engineering and project delivery teams.
