About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. This role is focused on maximising the uptime and performance of blow moulding machinery, associated production equipment, and automated warehouse systems through planned preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
You will play a key role in ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in line with company maintenance procedures and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance Technician
Carry out planned preventive maintenance on extrusion and stretch blow moulding machines, production machinery, conveyors, and fully automated warehouse systems.
Execute scheduled maintenance activities including cleaning, lubrication, inspection, adjustment, and tightening of components to ensure optimal machine performance.
Perform regular inspections of machinery, production equipment, and safety systems to identify potential faults before breakdowns occur.
Support the reduction of downtime by identifying wear, defects, and potential failures early.
Ensure all machinery and maintenance activities comply with company health & safety procedures and industry regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including completed work, parts used, and equipment condition.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Undertake any additional duties reasonably required by supervision that are consistent with the purpose of the role.
Skills & Experience: Preventive Maintenance Technician
Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify faults and determine effective repair methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when required. xwzovoh
