Tradewind are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-established primary school in Salford on a full-time basis from the end of May.
You will take full responsibility for a KS1 class, covering until the end of the academic year. The school offers a broad and engaging curriculum with a strong focus on early reading, phonics, and creating a nurturing learning environment where all pupils can thrive. Staff benefit from a collaborative team ethos, supportive leadership, and access to well-planned resources.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience teaching within KS1, with a secure understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
Confidence in delivering phonics (experience with programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle is desirable)
A nurturing, inclusive approach and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Experience using schemes such as White Rose Maths and structured reading programmes
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approachEssential requirements:
QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
Recent experience teaching in KS1, supported by strong references
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
