We're searching for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant based near Kingstanding, Birmingham, to support incredible children with special educational needs, helping them thrive, grow, and shine in their own unique way.
What does the role involve?
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special needs including Autism, ADHD, Severe learning difficulties
- Help create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Use creative strategies to engage, motivate, and support emotional regulation
- Celebrate progress-big and small-and encourage independence
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and families to ensure the best outcomes

Role Requirements:
- Hold a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or the equivalent
- Experience working with SEND or a similar setting
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient-even on challenging days
- Brings positivity, creativity, and adaptability to every situation
- Available on a full-time basis
- Based locally to Kingstanding, Birmingham

All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
- You must have legal right to work in the UK
- You must be willing to attend a registration interview
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
