The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Hygiene Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the hygiene service across our Added Value division on our night shift. This role is responsible for setting high hygiene standards and leading hygiene teams to meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
The successful candidate will deliver a first class hygiene function across the Added Value division; through auditing and corrective action programs, excellent leadership of the site hygiene teams, and ensuring the periodical cleaning of all areas is done safely and efficiently.
Your experience in hygiene and food manufacturing will have given you the skills we need; as a people motivator, a good communicator, a positive approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines.
What you will be doing?
Lead, develop, and motivate hygiene teams to ensure strong engagement and high performance
Establish and deliver a site-wide hygiene vision covering food safety, health, safety, environment, and waste management
Monitor, audit, and review hygiene performance to drive continuous improvement beyond compliance standards
Manage hygiene budgets, capital expenditure, and third-party contracts
Ensure a safe working environment in line with Safety, Health and Environment standards
Participate in site incident and crisis management as a senior operational lead
Develop long-term hygiene planning and manage annual budgeting for the function
Provide hands-on support, coaching, and training to department heads and hygiene leads
Carry out hygiene audits and implement improvement actions where required
What we want from you?
Proven experience within an operational Hygiene function, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing
Strong understanding of hygiene codes of practice, best-practice methods, and cleaning processes
Practical experience with allergen management
Knowledge of hygiene KPIs and continuous improvement strategies
Experience conducting and managing hygiene audits
Advanced knowledge offood hygiene, HACCP, health & safety, and chemical safety
Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills
Ability to work to milestones and meet critical deadlines
