I am a 24-year-old man living at home in the Carlton area with my mum, dad, and sister. We also have two dogs and two cats, so its important that you are comfortable around animals.
I have a great sense of humour and would describe myself as sociable and a bit cheeky, I get on best with people who are bubbly and easy to talk to.
My interests include gaming, computers, making digital music, DJing, and watching and playing football. I also enjoy swimming and going to the gym with the right encouragement. Ideally, Im looking for someone who either shares an interest in gaming or is happy to get involved and be engaged, as this has been important in building good working relationships in the past.
I am looking for a Personal Assistant who is patient, reliable, and understanding. I have Autism and ADHD, and at times I can struggle with anxiety, low mood, and depression. Because of this, consistency and a calm, supportive approach are really important. On rare occasions, I may present with behaviours that can be challenging, so its important that you are confident and able to respond in a supportive and understanding way.
The role involves being a positive support and, in many ways, a wingman someone who can encourage me to get out into the community, build confidence socially, and engage in meaningful activities. I would really like to develop friendships, but anxiety can be a barrier, so I need someone who can gently and diplomatically encourage me.
There will also be times when I may not feel able to go out. On these days, its important that you can still engage me at home, whether thats through gaming, music, or other activities, as well as supporting me to develop my independence with daily living skills such as maintaining a routine, tidying my room, preparing meals, and managing medication.
The role offers 13 hours per week , to be worked flexibly across several days. There may also be opportunities for additional hours at times.
Rate of pay £12.71ph Mon-Sat , enhanced rates for Sundays.
Please be advised that decisions regarding applications and appointment of role are made in conjunction with our client. Therefore, your full CV or application form will be shared with them for their consideration. xwzovoh
