A well-regarded primary school in Hillingdon is looking to appoint a committed SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2026. The school has a strong leadership team and a clear focus on high standards, pupil development, and a supportive learning culture.
This position is based in Key Stage 2 and involves working closely with pupils who require additional support. The school promotes a structured and engaging environment where pupils are encouraged to develop both academically and personally.
Role and Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing key skills. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including behavioural and communication challenges
Contributing to a positive and focused classroom environment
Tracking pupil progress and providing feedback to staff
Supporting pupils social development and emotional wellbeing
About You and Experience Required
The successful candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs.
You will need:
Previous experience working within a school setting (essential)
Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A calm and consistent approach
A genuine interest in supporting childrens learning and development
