HGV Municipal Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

We are looking for a HGV mechanic/technician to join our team working on municipal vehicles carrying out all aspects of work including getting vehicles ready for hire/sale, roadside assistance, 6 weekly inspection, pre MOT and general maintenance work.

Our fleet is mainly Dennis, Daf, and Mercedes municipal vehicles so hydraulic and auto electrical experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given.

8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with overtime available

Duties:

· Carry out MOT preparations and 6 weekly inspections

· Defect identification and rectification

· General repairs

· Fault diagnosis

· Breakdown assistance

· Competent completion of job cards and service sheets

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

· A full UK driving licence (Class 2 preferred but not essential)

· Proven experience in a HGV mechanic/ fitter role

· Ability to work as a team or with little to no assistance

· Municipal vehicle experience beneficial but not essential xwzovoh

· Excellent time management

· IRTEC qualification (beneficial)

£17 - £19 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
