Midday Meal Supervisor – Barking Education First | Barking, East London | Monday–Friday | 11:30am–1:30pm | ASAP Start Make a difference during the school day Education First is recruiting a Midday Meal Supervisor to join a welcoming primary school in Barking, East London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for regular part-time work during school hours, working Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Additional supply days are also available for candidates who would like to take on extra work. The Role As a Midday Meal Supervisor, you will help ensure pupils have a safe, enjoyable and positive lunchtime experience. Your responsibilities will include: * Supervising pupils during lunchtime and playtime * Monitoring children in the dining hall and playground * Encouraging positive behaviour, manners and social interaction * Supporting children with minor issues or disagreements * Ensuring pupils follow school rules and expectations * Providing a calm, friendly and supportive presence * Reporting concerns or incidents to appropriate school staff What We're Looking For We're looking for candidates who are: * Reliable, punctual and responsible * Friendly, approachable and confident around children * Patient and able to remain calm when managing behaviour * Good communicators who can work effectively as part of a team * Committed to safeguarding and pupil welfare Previous experience working with children, in a school or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
