Junior Incident Response Analyst

An IT support company is seeking a Junior Incident Response Analyst. It is expected that the employee will develop essential skills and contribute to protecting their digital infrastructure. As a Junior Incident Response Analyst, you’ll work closely with their IT and cybersecurity team to safeguard their systems, monitor for vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents. KEY DUTIES * Help monitor network activity to spot unusual behaviour, potential threats, or weaknesses * Support the identification and reporting of security risks, and assist in resolving them * Learn and assist with responding to security incidents, following established procedures * Carry out basic system checks and support regular security audits to keep systems protected * Assist with managing user accounts, access permissions, and login security * Support the development and updating of security policies and best practices * Work with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues as they arise CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly * Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills * Ability to follow processes and work as part of a team * Good organisational and time management skills * Awareness of security tools or software is a plus, but training will be provided * Interest in cybersecurity and technology
