UX UI Designer

Product Designer (UX/UI) Location: Cambridge area – hybrid working Salary: Up to £50,000 About the role We are working with a purpose-led technology business that develops digital platforms used across education and public sector environments. They are looking for a Product Designer (UX/UI) to take ownership of the user experience across their learner-facing products. This is a key role within the product team, with a strong emphasis on improving the quality of UI design, establishing clear design standards, and delivering a consistent and accessible experience. The role will suit someone who enjoys working on complex, meaningful products where design has a genuine impact on how people engage and progress. What you will be doing You will be responsible for designing intuitive, high-quality experiences across multiple digital platforms. Key responsibilities include: Creating high fidelity UI designs that translate complex workflows into clear and usable interfaces Designing end-to-end user journeys that are simple, accessible and engaging Ensuring a consistent user experience across different products and user groups Developing and maintaining design guidelines and standards to improve consistency and reduce subjectivity Working closely with engineering and product teams to bring structure to the design process and deliver high quality outputs Using available feedback and insight to inform design decisions and continuously improve the experience Demonstrating the impact of your design work through improvements in engagement, usability and progressionThe user challenge This is not a typical UX role. You will be designing for users with: Varying levels of digital confidence Diverse learning needs and cognitive profiles Low motivation or engagement with educationAccessibility is central to the role. Designs must be clear, inclusive and easy to use for a wide range of users.
