Commercial Litigation Solicitor

Our client, a well-established Law business based in Peterborough, is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will manage a broad caseload of commercial disputes, work closely with partners on complex and high-value matters, and play an active role in client development and relationship management. COMMERCIAL LITIGATION SOLICTOR PETERBOROUGH CAMBS, OFFICE BASED £50000 - £70000 Monday to Friday 09.00am to 17.30pm Key responsibilities for the Commercial Litigation Solicitor: You will be responsible for: * Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters with appropriate supervision. * Advising clients on a range of disputes including: * Breach of contract claims * Shareholder and partnership disputes * Professional negligence * Fraud and asset recovery * Debt recovery * Injunctive relief * Commercial property disputes * Insolvency-related litigation * Conducting litigation in the Court. * Drafting pleadings, applications, witness statements, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence. * Managing disclosure exercises and trial preparation. * Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties. * Attending mediations, settlement meetings, and court hearings. * Providing commercially focused, practical legal advice to clients. * Maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for business development. * Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate. * Ensuring accurate time recording, billing, and file management compliance. Skills and experience We’re looking for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor who has the following: * Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales. * Approximately 5 years’ PQE in commercial litigation. * Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR). * Experience managing commercial disputes with a degree of autonomy. * Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills. * Strong commercial awareness and client care skills. * Ability to manage multiple matters and work to tight deadlines. * Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail If this sounds like you? and you are interested in this Commercial Litigation Solicitor position, please apply today.
