SEN Teaching Assistant  Location: Toxteth, Liverpool Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Term Time Only) Contract: Full-Time | Temp to Perm Opportunity Salary: £14-£16 per hour (depending on experience) Start: ASAP We are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant, in Toxteth, Liverpool, who will also provide pastoral support to students, helping to promote both academic progress and personal wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support learning in the classroom, adapt support for students with a range of needs, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Alongside classroom responsibilities, the role includes mentoring and pastoral care, supporting students’ emotional wellbeing, encouraging positive behaviour, and building strong, supportive relationships that contribute to their overall development. What We Are Looking For Able to motivate and encourage students, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference to their wellbeing and development. GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent qualifications). Awareness of alternative provision settings and experience supporting students with additional or special educational needs. Previous experience working within an educational environment or a similar setting. Able to communicate professionally and effectively with students, colleagues, and wider stakeholders.
