Document Controller 📍 Barking, Essex 💰 Competitive Salary + Benefits 🕒 Full Time | Permanent A growing Social Housing Refurbishment Contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Document Controller to join their team based in Barking. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and fast-paced contractor delivering refurbishment and maintenance works across social housing projects. The Role As Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth communication across operational teams. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Commercial Teams, and Clients to ensure all documentation is uploaded, tracked, and distributed correctly. Key Responsibilities * Managing project documentation using Procore * Uploading, tracking, and maintaining drawings, reports, and site documents * Ensuring document control procedures are followed across all projects * Maintaining accurate registers and filing systems * Liaising with site teams and subcontractors regarding document updates * Producing reports and spreadsheets using Excel * Supporting project teams with administrative duties where required * Ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant Requirements * Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction or social housing refurbishment * Strong working knowledge of Procore software * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Strong organisational and communication skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects * High attention to detail Desirable * Experience working within social housing refurbishment or maintenance contracts * Understanding of construction documentation processes What’s on Offer * Competitive salary * Long-term career progression * Supportive team environment * Stable and growing business
