Assembly Operative - Immediate Start Available
Monday to Friday | Day Shift
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a busy and well-established engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-perm position with immediate starts available, ideal for candidates with mechanical assembly experience looking to secure long-term employment within a growing manufacturing business.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and testing of a range of mechanical products and sub-assemblies within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Building assemblies to specification using engineering drawings and work instructions
Using hand tools, air tools, battery-powered tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
Checking kits and components prior to assembly and reporting any discrepancies
Carrying out basic fault finding, repair and rebuild work when required
Maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness and housekeeping within the work area
Reporting component faults, assembly issues, or production concerns to supervision
Working in line with company health & safety and quality procedures
Skills & Experience Required
Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Experience using hand and power tools within an engineering environment
Able to work efficiently to production deadlines
Flexible, reliable and proactive approach to work
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
