Fabrication & Welding Chargehand Mon-Fri Day Shift (Overtime Available) Rate of Pay- DOE First Achieve Engineering are recruiting on behalf of their client for an experienced Fabrication & Welding Chargehand to join a busy and growing engineering business. The Role As Fabrication & Welding Chargehand, you'll lead from the front, overseeing day-to-day workshop operations while remaining hands-on with fabrication and welding activities. You'll be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while supporting and motivating the workshop team. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and support a team of fabricators and welders. * Ensure all fabrication and welding work is completed to specification and quality standards. * Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings. * Carry out and oversee fabrication activities using a range of workshop equipment and machinery. * Perform welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. * Utilise MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes. * Monitor workflow and assist in achieving production targets and project deadlines. * Conduct quality inspections and address any issues promptly. * Maintain a safe working environment and promote health & safety best practices. * Work closely with management and production teams to ensure smooth project delivery. What We're Looking For * Time-served Fabricator/Welder with proven industry experience. * Previous Chargehand, Team Leader, Supervisory, or Senior Fabricator/Welder experience desirable. * Strong fabrication background with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. * Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. .
