Senior Construction Manager

My client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-end construction projects across the commercial, residential, and leisure sectors. This role requires a proven track record in managing luxury or premium developments, ensuring exceptional quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. You will oversee the full project lifecycle—from pre-construction through to completion—leading multidisciplinary teams while maintaining the highest levels of safety, client satisfaction, and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Lead the successful delivery of high-end construction projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and design intent Manage multiple projects concurrently, ranging from luxury residential developments to premium commercial and leisure facilities Oversee all phases of construction, including planning, procurement, execution, and handover Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, architects, and contractors Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients and key stakeholders Provide regular progress updates and strategic advice to senior leadership and clients Budget & Commercial Management Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and financial targets Monitor costs, manage variations, and mitigate financial risks Review and approve contracts, procurement strategies, and supplier agreements Programme & Planning Develop and manage detailed project programmes and schedules Identify risks to timelines and implement mitigation strategies Ensure timely procurement of materials, subcontractors, and resources Quality & Design Management Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and compliance Work closely with design teams to preserve architectural integrity and premium finishes Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality assurance throughout the build Health & Safety Champion a strong health and safety culture across all sites Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies Lead risk assessments and enforce safe working practices Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, site managers, and site teams Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across project teams Allocate resources effectively to optimise performance and delivery Key Requirements Experience 10+ years’ experience in construction management, with significant exposure to high-end commercial, residential, or leisure projects Proven track record delivering luxury or complex developments (e.g., premium hotels, flagship retail, luxury residential schemes) Experience managing large project values (typically £10m–£100m+) Qualifications Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Professional membership (e.g., CIOB, RICS) preferred Relevant health & safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS) Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent commercial and financial acumen Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in high-specification finishes Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Proficiency in project management tools and construction software Desirable Experience Experience delivering luxury or bespoke developments with high-end finishes Knowledge of sustainable building practices and certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED) Experience working with international clients or high-profile brands Personal Attributes Results-driven with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset Able to perform under pressure and manage complex challenges Highly organised with strong decision-making capabilities Passionate about excellence and delivering premium-quality projects What We Offer Opportunity to work on prestigious, high-profile developments Competitive salary and benefits package Career progression within a dynamic and growing organisation Collaborative and high-performing team environment
