Logistics Manager

Logistics Manager Orion is working with a leading provider of advanced technology solutions serving demanding environments across aerospace, defence, and high-tech sectors. Their dedicated team is at the heart of everything they do, and they’re looking to add a talented Logistics Manager to their elite workforce. As a Logistics Manager, you’ll be integral to ensuring the seamless flow of materials and information, overseeing shipping, warehousing, and inventory control. No two days are alike; you’ll face new challenges, take ownership of key tasks, and work closely with teams to bring products from conception to operational deployment. Responsibilities of the Logistics Manager: Oversee shipping and stores KPIs, ensuring performance standards are met.  Lead internal and external audits, including industry standards and customs compliance.  Develop team skills through coaching, setting objectives, and performance management.  Develop and refine internal procedures to meet current regulations and business needs.  Simplify processes and promote a proactive, ownership mindset.  Control goods inwards, coordinate with quality and procurement teams, and manage freight costs.  Establish relationships with freight forwarders and international shippers. Manage internal warehouse operations, including inventory counts and space optimisation.   Requirements of the Logistics Manager: 5-10 years of logistics experience within manufacturing, preferably aerospace, electrical, or mechanical sectors. Proven leadership in export, import, and warehouse operations.  Strong planning skills and ability to optimise inventory flow.  Experience designing and utilising warehouse space efficiently.  Benefits for the Logistics Manager: Competitive salary.  10% performance bonus.
