Bridging Finance – Business Development Manager: Field-Based | South West England, South Wales Or Midlands This is a front-line business development role with a serious appetite for lending, strong credit support behind you, and the freedom to do what top-performing BDMs do best: build relationships, structure deals and get them over the line. The Company A well-capitalised, fast-growing UK specialist lender that is actively increasing market share in bridging, refurbishment and residential-led development finance, with their loan book split evenly across regulated and non-regulated business, with a clear focus on residential exit strategies. Decision-making is pragmatic, credit-led not sales-led, and BDMs are trusted to operate autonomously in their regions. The business is investing heavily in growth, infrastructure and people, creating genuine long-term opportunity for ambitious BDMs. The Role This is a field-based Business Development Manager position covering South West England, South Wales and the Midlands, responsible for originating new lending opportunities through brokers, introducers and professional referral partners. You will be selling a full suite of bridging, refurbishment and residential-led development finance, working closely with credit and case management to maximise conversions while maintaining strong portfolio quality. Key Responsibilities * Develop and manage a strong introducer network across brokers, packagers, estate agents and professional contacts * Originate lending opportunities across bridging, refurb and residential development exit strategies * Structure transactions from enquiry through to offer, working collaboratively with underwriting and credit * Manage a live pipeline, prioritising quality, speed and delivery * Represent the lender professionally at meetings, events and industry networking * Maintain strong market intelligence across competitors, pricing and broker sentiment Package * Highly competitive basic salary * Uncapped, performance-driven bonus structure * Car allowance or company car * Pension, private healthcare and additional benefits * Full autonomy in-region with strong internal support Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within specialist lending * Strong track record in bridging finance is essential * Experience across refurbishment and residential-led development exits * Comfortable operating across both regulated and non-regulated lending * Established broker network within the South West, South Wales or Midlands * Commercial, relationship-led approach with excellent deal structuring ability Why Apply?
