About the role
Our client, a leading commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across South Wales, is currently recruiting for a highly skilled HGV Technician to join their workshop in Swansea.

Starting salary circa £19-20 per hour, negotiable based on experience

Perform all scheduled service and maintenance work within manufacturer timeframes and quality standards
Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions comprehensively and efficiently
Support colleagues with technical issues, diagnostics, and innovations in vehicle repair
Adhere strictly to company policies, health & safety regulations, and safety procedures
Accurately document diagnosis results, repairs, servicing, and safety inspections
Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service as an HGV Technician
Contribute to achieving workshop targets through effective and timely work completion
Assist with safety inspections and roadworthiness assessments
Optional: utilisation of active HGV driving licence (advantageous but not essential)Requirements:
Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Several years’ relevant experience beyond formal qualification
Strong diagnostic skills and technical expertise in heavy vehicle systems
Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure in a busy workshop environment
Motivated team player with a professional attitude
Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail
HGV driving licence is advantageous, but not essentialThis HGV Technician position involves a rotating early/late shift pattern, with 1 in 2 Saturdays paid as overtime. Our client values committed professionals dedicated to maintaining the highest industry standards.
