We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead and develop our Quality Assurance function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to take ownership of site quality performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing and directing all QA activities to ensure the highest standards of product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in promoting a strong quality culture across the site while driving improvements in processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the QA team to deliver site quality objectives
- Oversee customer quality issues and complaints, ensuring timely resolution
- Conduct and lead Quality Review Meetings with key customers
- Take full accountability for non-conforming products, including containment, rework, and scrap decisions
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards (e.g. BRC, AIB)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Manage quality-related costs, including customer credits
- Participate in internal audits and support continuous improvement activities
- Support operational teams with quality communication, including shop-floor engagement
- Prepare and deliver presentations for customer visits, workshops, and internal meetings
- Drive training and development within the quality team
About You
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (flexible packaging experience is advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and developing teams
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and standards
- Degree or diploma in Quality Management, Chemistry, Packaging Technology, or similar
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
- Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
- Knowledge of printing, lamination, and slitting processes is beneficial
