Mechanical Project Manager - Building Services
North West (Office, Site & Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing Building Services Contractor delivering projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of Residential and Commercial developments, overseeing projects from pre-construction through to handover.
The company specialises in delivering Mechanical and Plumbing installations across a wide range of sectors including high-spec Residential developments, apartment schemes, refurbishment projects, Education, Healthcare, and Commercial/Industrial buildings. Their work includes both new build and refurbishment projects, with a strong reputation for quality delivery and long-standing client relationships.
You will take responsibility for managing multiple Mechanical and Plumbing projects simultaneously, ensuring programmes, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are all met throughout the lifecycle of the project.
The role will involve:
Managing Mechanical and Plumbing packages across Residential and Commercial developments
Coordinating labour, materials, subcontractors, and site activities
Liaising closely with Developers, Main Contractors, Site Managers, and design teams
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
Monitoring project costs, valuations, variations, and commercial performance
Carrying out regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and health & safety
Ensuring all installations comply with current building regulations and industry standards
Managing technical queries and resolving on-site issues efficiently
Attending progress meetings and maintaining strong client relationships
Supporting procurement and tender activities for future projectsApplicants should ideally have:
Previous experience as a Mechanical or Plumbing Project or Contracts Manager
Strong knowledge of Mechanical Building Services installations
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating with Electrical contractors on-site
Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance standards
Strong commercial awareness and project management capability
Excellent communication and leadership skillsRelevant qualifications in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering are preferred, alongside SMSTS and CSCS certification.
