Regulatory Affairs Lead Hybrid 2 Days per weekQuant Capital is urgently looking for a Regulatory Affairs Lead to join our high profile client.I am seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs and Engagement Specialist to join a newly formed Regulatory Affairs team to develop and strengthen its regulatory affairs function and further our engagement efforts with key stakeholders which includes regulators and market participants. The successful candidate could have a background at a financial regulator, within a regulatory affairs department of a financial institution, in government relations, at a trade association or similar. Strong understanding of the financial markets and experience in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape and building collaborative relationships are musts, with knowledge of OTC derivatives and/ or bonds beneficial.The Regulatory Affairs Consultant Will: • Monitor and analyse regulatory developments across various jurisdictions: the UK and EU and other jurisdictions. • Identify, prioritise, and map relevant regulatory changes and trends that impact business • Conduct thorough analysis of new and existing regulations such as reference data, bonds, derivatives, and crypto-assets. • Provide reports and recommendations to internal stakeholders. • Develop clear and concise communication materials to explain technical regulatory information to diverse audiences. • Produce regular updates and reports for senior management and other key stakeholders. • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with regulators, other public authorities, industry bodies and market participants. Our client provides independent expert advice software and remediation for front office electronic trading environments. Their clients include leading investment banks, asset managers and hedge funds. They use well-established and bespoke methodologies to deliver solutions ranging from trading platform reviews to ultra-low latency design and development of front office trading systems. Their engagements span front office engagements within Fixed Income, Equities and FX.Regulatory Affairs Consultants should Have: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or related field. Additional qualifications in regulatory affairs or compliance are a plus. • 7+ years of experience at a financial regulator (e.g., FCA, ESMA), within the regulatory affairs department of a financial institution, at a trade association, in government relations within the financial services industry or similar • Deep understanding of financial markets infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and industry dynamics, particularly in the UK and Europe. Understanding of other jurisdictions, in particular US or within APAC, a plus. Knowledge of bonds and/or OTC derivatives markets an asset. My client has a family feel and traditional values but is known as by far the best trading and reporting consultancy in the world. They have recently implemented a FIX standard for Fixed Income Trading. They have been trading for 8 years and have around 150 people in the office so personality fit is important.
