About the Role

This position involves supporting children within the Reception class and the attached Nursery, helping to create a nurturing, engaging and developmentally rich learning environment. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team to deliver high-quality support that enables every child to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils across Reception and Nursery
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of EYFS-appropriate activities
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Support children with early phonics, communication, social skills and play-based learning
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Contribute to observations and assessments in line with EYFS frameworks

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working within an EYFS setting, ideally in a primary school
  • A strong understanding of early years development and learning through play
  • A proactive, patient and supportive approach
  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent is preferred
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
