Behaviour Mentor – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from May 2026The inspection report highlights a calm, aspirational school environment where pupils demonstrate positive attitudes to learning and feel well supported. This Behaviour Mentor role offers the opportunity to work full time within a well-structured secondary school environment where behaviour, relationships, and pupil well-being are prioritised. The Behaviour Mentor will play a key role in monitoring, analysing, and supporting behaviour across the school, working closely with pupils and staff to promote positive conduct and engagement. This long-term, ongoing role is ideal for a Behaviour Mentor who is proactive, reflective, and committed to supporting young people to succeed.Duties as Behaviour Mentor:
Monitor, track, and analyse pupil behaviour data to identify patterns and areas for support
Provide targeted behaviour support to pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis
Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour strategies
Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour interventions
Contribute to behaviour plans, risk assessments, and support strategies
Promote positive relationships and a calm, consistent approach to behaviour management
Support pupils during transition times and across the school day
Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on pupil progress and behaviour trends
Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all timesIdeal Behaviour Mentor:
Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar pastoral support role
Confidence monitoring and analysing behaviour data
Strong understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Calm, resilient, and consistent approach when supporting pupils
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Organised, reflective, and proactive working style
Commitment to a full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role
