Job Title: Trauma Informed Practitioner Location: Walsall Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Support pupils with additional emotional and behavioural needs through a compassionate and trauma-informed approach! GSL Education are currently recruiting a passionate Trauma Informed Practitioner to work in schools across Walsall. As a Trauma Informed Practitioner, you will work closely with pupils who have experienced adversity or trauma, helping them feel safe, supported, and engaged in education. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted emotional and behavioural support to pupils. Implement trauma-informed strategies and interventions. Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive coping skills. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams. Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing practices. Requirements of Trauma Informed Practitioner: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs. Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and de-escalation techniques. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
