Production Senior Supervisor

North East England Salary up to £65,571.60 + shift allowance 2 shift allowance 9% 3 shift allowance 16% Jackson Hogg are proud to be supporting a well‑established manufacturing business in the North East with the appointment of a Senior Supervisor within their Press Shop. This is a genuinely senior frontline leadership role, offering a high level of autonomy and accountability. The business is looking for someone who wants ownership, influence, and the opportunity to drive real operational improvement, not just manage a shift. The role Reporting directly to the Press Shop Manager, you will lead and manage a shift with full accountability for performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale, in line with the company’s production system and mid‑term strategic plan. This role goes beyond day‑to‑day supervision. You will be trusted to make decisions, lead supervisors, manage budgets and drive continuous improvement at shop floor level. Key responsibilities * Full ownership of shift performance, driving KPI delivery across QCDMS * Leading supervisors and operators through clear expectations, coaching and development * Using structured root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence * Driving continuous improvement activity focused on output, press availability and efficiency * Managing daily and longer‑term production planning in line with capacity, cost and demand * Contributing to CAPEX decisions, cost‑reduction initiatives and improvement business cases * Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and risk management * Proactively managing absence, holidays, disciplinaries and recruitment in line with HR policy * Creating a culture of ownership, accountability and problem solving on the shop floor What we’re looking for This role will suit an experienced Senior Supervisor or strong frontline manufacturing leader who is comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability.
