Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is recruiting a Senior Quality Engineer for our client in the Bristol area. You will be a key part of the business as a member of the senior leadership team and you will ensure the Quality assurance activities comply with AS9100 and Customer Requirements.
The Company: Our client specialises in machining complex machined parts for the aerospace industry. Theyre an established business in their field and work with market-leading names to assist them with the manufacturing of parts.
The Role:
Maintain and Improve the Quality Management System
Lead an internal team of Quality Engineers
Support new product introduction activities, including inspection plans, control plans, and AS9102 FAIR approval
Assist with APQP and PPAP activities, including supplier PPAP approval and compliance checks
Review engineering drawings and specifications to identify quality and manufacturing risks
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone tools
Monitor supplier quality performance and carry out supplier audits and development activities
Maintain quality documents, records, and aerospace traceability requirements
Prepare quality reports and monitor KPIs including scrap, rework, and yield
About you:
Proven experience in a Quality role within aerospace or high-integrity engineering
Strong knowledge of AS9100
Experience with inspection techniques and tools
Skilled in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
Confident communicator, able to engage customers, auditors, and internal teams
Experience with xwzovoh managing and developing skilled technical staff
Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing methods
Relevant engineering or quality qualification (or equivalent experience)
The hours of work are Monday Thursday 7:30am 4pm, and 7:30am 12:30pm on Friday
