Project Manager – The Company
A well-established and highly regarded main contractor is looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead delivery on a major construction project in South Wales.

Project Manager – The Role
This role will involve managing the demolition of an existing building followed by the full new-build construction phase, including significant groundworks and steel frame elements.
You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion, managing site teams, subcontractors, programme, health & safety, and client relationships.
The role would suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong main contracting background and proven experience delivering complex new-build projects involving demolition, enabling works, groundworks, and steel frame construction. A strong understanding of projects “out of the ground” is essential, with solid civils and infrastructure knowledge required.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the project from demolition through to final handover
* Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget
* Oversee programme management and short-term planning
* Manage client communication and stakeholder relationships
* Drive quality standards and ensure compliance across all phases
* Monitor commercial performance alongside the commercial team
* Chair site meetings and provide regular progress reporting
* Ensure strong health & safety culture is maintained throughout delivery
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within main contracting
* Strong new-build construction background
* Must be technically strong “out of the ground” with solid civils, groundworks, and infrastructure knowledge
* Experience managing demolition, groundworks, and steel frame packages
* Track record delivering projects in excess of £10m
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
* Strong communication and client-facing ability
