About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate Reception Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Hemel Hempstead from September 2026. This full-time role involves teaching in Reception, where you will have the opportunity to inspire young learners and make a lasting impact on their academic, social and personal development.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and creative lessons in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting all children to thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Reception/EYFS curriculum
Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps
Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
Experience teaching in Reception/EYFS is desirable
Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
