Electrical, Energy Feasibility Engineer (Decarbonisation) Bristol - £50,000 - £60,000
The Electrical / Energy Feasibility Engineer supports early-stage decarbonization projects for industrial production sites.
The role focuses on assessing electrical and thermal energy supply capabilities, estimating future energy demand, and identifying technical constraints or reinforcements required to enable low-carbon solutions.
This position is primarily involved in pre-feasibility and feasibility phases , providing robust technical inputs to guide investment and engineering decisions.
Good understanding of Interfaces management.
Good understanding of project cost assessment.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
Assess electrical and thermal supply capacity for industrial sites, including demand forecasting for electrification, new equipment, and decarbonization scenarios.
Evaluate existing energy infrastructure, identify constraints or compliance issues, and propose solutions such as grid upgrades, on-site generation, or storage.
Support early project phases by documenting technical assumptions, contributing to feasibility studies, and coordinating with utilities, grid operators, and multidisciplinary teams.

Energy supply and capacity assessment notes
Preliminary load balance and demand estimation summaries
Constraint and risk identification matrices
Assumptions and limitations registers for feasibility studies
Required Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering , Energy Engineering , or equivalent
(Technician / Higher Technician profiles with strong experience are welcome)
Experience in industrial electrical systems , power distribution, or energy infrastructure
Familiarity with:
industrial power systems
grid connection principles
energy balance and load estimation
Ability to work with incomplete data and build engineering assumptions
Strong analytical and synthesis skills
Nice to Have
Experience in decarbonization, electrification or energy transition projects
Knowledge of industrial utilities (HV/LV, substations, thermal networks)
Awareness of regulatory or grid-connection constraints
Ability to work in international project environments
