An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Finance Solicitor to join a highly regarded and ambitious Finance team in Birmingham.

The team acts for major domestic and international banks, alternative lenders, institutional borrowers, private equity houses and corporates on high-quality and complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

The opportunity:

• Work on major bilateral, syndicated and structured Real Estate Finance transactions
• Strong exposure to development finance
• Advise both lender and borrower clients across a range of sectors and jurisdictions
• Work alongside leading Real Estate, Construction, Corporate, Tax and international teams
• Excellent quality of work, regularly acting opposite Magic Circle, Silver Circle and major US firms
• Significant opportunity for client development and business development
• Supportive, collaborative and non-hierarchical team environment

The ideal candidate:

• Associate, Senior Associate or Principal Associate level
• Strong experience in Real Estate Finance
• Excellent knowledge of LMA documentation
• Experience acting for lenders and/or borrowers
• Commercially minded with strong drafting and negotiation skills
• At Senior Associate/Principal Associate level, an interest in supervising and coaching junior lawyers
• Hospitality, Hotels, Food & Beverage or Travel & Tourism experience would be advantageous, although not essential
