About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading UK independent MRO, specialising in Boeing and Airbus families, we are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanics to oversee and perform all maintenance activities, both scheduled and unscheduled.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with defined procedures, applying Human Factors principles and using only properly maintained, uniquely identified personal tools, approved company tooling, and calibrated test equipment.
- Provide effective support for aircraft maintenance under the guidance of your supervisor, seeking assistance when required.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all maintenance documentation and forms before the end of each shift, in compliance with MOE Part 2 and company procedures.
- Promptly report any issues impacting safety, productivity, or workflow progression to the Technician, Engineer or Bay Manager.
- Correctly process and return unused materials to Stores when practicable, following disposal instructions at all times.
- Ensure proper storage of aircraft components and tooling, including blanking, labelling, and protection, in line with company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of engineering practice, including workplace cleanliness, general husbandry, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention measures.
- Recommend improvements to working conditions, practices, or procedures that enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity to the Bay Manager or Engineer.
- Assist with hangar facility maintenance and general operational tasks as required.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably necessary to meet business needs.
- Ability to use recognised aircraft documentation.
- Demonstrates a broad skill set in aircraft systems including rigging, component replacement, and modification embodiment.
- Recognised aeronautical training e.g. City & Guilds Level 3, BTEC Level 3, University Degree or Aeronautical Apprenticeship programme.
- Initial Human Factors, EWIS & Fuel Tank Safety.
