Belfast TradFest is one of Ireland’s leading traditional arts organisations, delivering year-round cultural programming including the flagshipBelfast TradFest & Summer Schooland theSt Patrick’s Music Festival. We present world-class traditional music, song and dance through an ambitious programme spanning concerts, workshops, masterclasses, céilís, outdoor events and community engagement.

We are seeking a driven and experienced Marketing and Engagement Officer to join our small, high-performing team in this integral role.

Role Description

The successful candidate will lead on developing and implementing marketing strategy, setting targets and objectives, and delivering hands-on content creation across design, sales strategy, audience development, print, advertising, digital promotions, branding and communications. The Marketing and Engagement Officer will work closely with the Artistic Director and Co-Director to agree marketing outputs and will manage relationships with a range of external support services including box office teams, PR, and communications providers.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in a professional marketing or communications role
  • Experience in graphic design & video content creation
  • Experience with computerised ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketsolve, Eventbrite)
  • Track record in writing and implementing communications, marketing and social media plans, including evaluation
  • Experience delivering media, advertising, print and digital campaigns and managing their budgets
  • Experience in managing and creating content on all social media platforms.
  • Competent in producing evaluations, analysis and reporting for senior staff and funders
  • Experience line managing staff, suppliers and service providers
  • Track record of developing marketing strategies for arts/entertainment sector
  • Experience in website management, updating etc.
  • Experience working with advertising, print, PR and media agencies.
