What you'll be doing Governance Hold periodic project reviews (PRM) and update the Digital Briefcase in accordance with GBLEnsure the team maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.)Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders Analytical Thinking & Decision Making Initiates good scope/information/configuration management principlesEnsure reports provide relevant information which enable decisions to be made which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall strategyEnsure scope and package assignment supports the team in coordinated workingHealth Safety & EnvironmentalEnsure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in legislationResponsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, employees and supply chainCarry out periodic Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safety initiativesSupport Accident/Incident InvestigationsMonitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implement improvement solutionsResources & Development Develop, implement and update resource allocations plans (OBS) and raise appropriate requestsRisk, Issue & Opportunity Lead risk/opportunity reviews, present the Risk Register and recommend/implement changesLog and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authorityProcurement & Supply ChainManage subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achievedEnsure procurement plans are available in line with the overall project plans, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlinesQualityEnsure all work is undertaken with a view towards handover and certificationAccountable for KPI’s in line with project objectives and monitor performanceEnsure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken and take appropriate action on findingsLead working groups and work with OLT on focused improvement areasSchedule Develop, implement, review and periodically update resource loaded schedulesEnsure team adopt productivity and project controls techniquesMonitor progress and implement Short Interval Control processes/hold weekly meetingEnsure production of operational milestones reflect master schedule and customer expectationsEstablish robust change control process Commercial & ContractEnsure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost controlAble to identify elements for cost recovery from othersIncorporate and balance both operational and commercial constraints into decision makingLead effective reporting routines including escalation as required Who we're looking for The following qualities/experience are essential:Able to demonstrate a track record of project deliveryGood understanding of the standard forms of contractsProficient in commercial/project management communicationsExperience in implementing safe systems of workAble to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisationEffective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others to build effective teams.
