Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in County Tyrone, who are seeking a Buyer to support ongoing production and operational requirements. This is a site-based role within a fast-paced environment where procurement plays a critical role in business continuity. Your new role Purchase consumables and materials to support day-to-day production Maintain stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages Manage supplier orders, including long lead-time items Process approved purchase orders through the ERP system Liaise with suppliers on pricing, delivery, and performance Support cost control and identify savings where possible Work closely with internal teams to meet operational needs Produce basic procurement and supplier performance reports Ensure compliance with quality standards and health & safety procedures What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a buying or procurement role Comfortable working in a manufacturing or operational environment Experience using purchasing or ERP systems Able to work with suppliers on pricing, orders, and deliveries Good organisational skills with attention to detail Confident using Excel and basic reporting tools Strong communication skills and ability to work with different teams Ability to manage priorities and work independently Relevant qualification or practical experience in supply chain, business, or manufacturing (desirable) What you'll get in return Stable, full-time role within a well-established organisation Early finish on Fridays Exposure to a structured procurement environment with ISO-accredited processes Opportunity to develop long-term procurement and supplier management expertise What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
