About the role
Social Housing Building Surveyor Northern Ireland (Office-based with travel to sites across NI) Competitive salary + company benefits (DOE) We are currently recruiting on behalf of our leading construction client for an experienced and motivated Social Housing Building Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of planned maintenance schemes across Northern Ireland, including kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, window replacement programmes, and external wall insulation projects. You will play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle from initial design stages through to on-site delivery and the defects period ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Attend project briefings with clients and stakeholders Prepare and manage survey and works programmes, ensuring progress is tracked and communicated effectively Produce weekly progress reports and present updates to clients and stakeholders Review drawings, consultant reports, and cost plans Conduct property inspections and prepare detailed reports on defects, condition, and recommended works Liaise with tenants, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout delivery Work closely with internal and client-side Quantity Surveyors on valuations, variations, and project changes Provide technical guidance on building regulations, planning, and health & safety Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards Oversee site teams and contractors to maintain quality, safety, and budget control Carry out quality inspections to ensure works meet required standards Support SHEQ processes, including H&S compliance and project handover documentation Requirements: Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline Previous experience within the Social Housing sector (desirable) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in CAD and other relevant software Solid understanding of building regulations, planning legislation, and compliance If you are interested in this exciting opportunity please send your CV via the link provided or call Naomi at Kenect Recruitment on for further details
