Premises Assistant (Long Term) Location:SE6, South East London Hours: 35 hours per week Working Hours: 7:45am – 3:45pm Contract: Long‑term The Role A friendly school in SE6 is seeking a reliable and hardworking Premises Assistant to join their site team on a long‑term basis. This role is focused on maintaining clean, safe, and well‑organised external areas, supporting deliveries, and assisting with general site duties during the school day. Key Responsibilities Cleaning and maintaining outdoor areas including playgrounds, entrances, and walkways Supporting stock and delivery handling, including unloading and storing supplies General site support duties as directed by the Site Manager Ensuring health & safety standards are met across external areas Assisting with waste management and litter picking Supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school siteThe Ideal Candidate Previous experience as a Premises Assistant, Caretaker, or Facilities Assistant (school experience desirable) Physically able and happy working outdoors Reliable, punctual, and able to work to set hours Good awareness of health & safety Able to work independently and follow instructionsSafeguarding This role is within a school environment.
